People With Passion
With more than 30 years’ experience in leading and developing America’s favorite golf resort destinations, David Stradinger’s visionary accomplishments are nothing less than monumental in South Carolina’s Grand Strand. His forward thinking about resort development began in 1975 as City Manager of Myrtle Beach, SC, and continues to lay the foundation for the area’s economic growth and future.
In 1981, he founded Winchester Land and Development Corporation, and spearheaded development of the infrastructure that has allowed the area to become the destination that it is today. His firm became the leader in planning condominium projects that are the heart of today’s Grand Strand. Since then, he has been dedicated to developing more than 2000 premier high rise and resort oceanfront condominiums and hotels, including North Beach Towers, Patricia Grand, The Savoy, Carolina Winds, South Wind, the Palms, Sea Watch Plantation and The Island Vista.
Stradinger’s partnership with Samuel Burns brings exceptional insight and depth of coastal real estate knowledge to the Dock Street Communities team.
A part of Dock Street Communities since its inception in 2005, David Wilkes brings to DSC an extensive background in commercial banking as an asset portfolio manager. David’s prior experience includes resort development with Winchester Land and Development in Myrtle Beach. As Project Manager, he supervised the completion of four high-rise oceanfront projects.
David is a graduate of the College of Charleston. He is active in the Grand Strand area as a member of the Coastal Carolina Association of Realtors, The Horry Georgetown Homebuilders Association, The National Homebuilders Association, and a board member of the Horry County Habitat for Humanity.
John N. Morrison (Joe) Mr. Morrison is the president of Sands Building Group. His primary responsibilities include handling the company’s business development, construction, and strategic planning. Mr. Morrison graduated from Clemson University with a bachelors of science degree in Construction Science and Management. He began his career working some of the nations largest homebuilders where he managed the construction of single family and multi-family construction. Mr. Morrison then started his own company and began expanding into real estate development, single family, commercial and multi-family construction. He has developed and managed the construction of residential neighborhoods throughout the South. Mr. Morrison holds both a North Carolina and South Carolina commercial general contractors license and a real estate broker license.
